Mercy Of God’s own “tech-man extraordinaire”——
Jordan has been maintaining mercyofGodministries.com since its inception in 2010.
Back in 2010 Pastor Charles and I set out to create a website that would reach people around the globe with the message of Jesus Christ. We wanted all of the content to be completely free of charge, just as Jesus would have it. We prayed that everyone who visited this site would be blessed by what they viewed.
At that time I had no idea how we were going to accomplish this task. The initial site was created in about six months, and was launched on Christmas Eve 2010. I had never created a website before, so it took a lot of trial and error, and even more prayer to get it off the ground.
Not much has changed since we began over 6 years ago; I still don’t know what I am doing but by the grace of God I believe we have pulled something together, albeit on a completely different platform (insert tech jargon here).
I felt that we had finally outgrown our first website, and the need was there to create a new one. Every month we have new visitors from around the world listen to our sermons, and those numbers continue to rise. We decided to create a new site from the ground up, hopefully generating a more mature experience for our visitors.
Gone are the kitschy names like MercyCast, Mustard Seeds and FaithLifts. They have been replaced or truncated, and now our sermons are aptly called sermons. I bet if you looked “sermons” up in the original Greek it would probably say…. sermons (terrible joke – sorry, not sorry).
My hope is that this new site continues to be a blessing to everyone who chooses to uses it. Every decision and direction we have taken for this new site has been intentional, and bathed in prayer. The goal was to retain what was working from the previous site, and make our new site easier to navigate, and follow.
If you will permit me to be so bold, I think I can safely say that mercyofGodministries.com has been a ministry in its own right for quite some time now. I pray that God continues to bless this ministry, and uses the messages found within these pages to bring everyone into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. May we all continue to bring Glory to His name.
“And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give“ – Matthew 10:7-8
Obligatory technical hoo-haw: If you are experiencing technical difficulties with this site, feel free to send me a line. I will do my best to get back to you quickly — well at least before Christ’s return anyways…
