Reaching The Lost
Mercy of God Ministries Church supports Street Hope Peterborough.
Street Hope Peterborough was started in 2008 out of a burden that Jesus had placed on my heart. To enable this to happen there are people and teams all across the nation pushing this common vision. All this requires time, investment and application of the gifts God has given to each of us. There was a need in the city of Peterborough for a service and outreach aimed at the neediest in the community, in order that they would find hope in Christ and practical help with their everyday needs. The uniqueness of this ministry is that it seeks to share the spiritual hope of Christ with the people to which we are providing support; this work is not merely a social service, as there are many of those in the city. The heart of this work is to see lives changed by Christ and to watch people be transformed through the relationship that they have with Him. It is a friendship ministry that offers hope in times of hardship, and the relationships that are formed last for a life time.
Believe in Each Other
We need each other the same way we need Gods love and forgiveness. Street Hope Peterborough is faithfully supported by local men and women who have a heart to see the Love and Compassion of Jesus reach the lost. When people get together and sacrifice their time and efforts to meet the needs of others its in that moment we see the Love of God in action, whether it be a glass of water, a hot meal or a kind word given to someone who is struggling. The message that is being communicated to that person is clear! “Jeus Loves You!”
